I was fortunate enough to share a memorable period of my working life alongside Stuart and for that I am grateful and blessed. He was always generous with his time and wisdom to help me when I was stuck or to provide counsel when neither of us could find the right answer. I was always struck by how much his colleagues loved having him and his calm, gentle and reasonable presence around - but I could not match his quick wit and humour to disarm anyone and any situation. I had the honour to talk to him during the dark days of his illness and the way he faced the last part of his life was immensely inspiring and humbling. I will miss him as a colleague, as a friend and as a gentleman. Thank you Stuart.
